A good question to debate upon. I think this act will have a negligible impact on the terrorists. People who join this world of terror are not frightened of death, rather the vows bestowed upon them in the name of ‘jihad’, order them to fight till the end. This fight in the name of pseudo religion, takes in an army where, the soldiers are more like man -made robots, who take orders from their supremo, and work likewise. There is no heart and soul or emotions involved, and hence no fear of death. We often find these men wearing necklaced capsules around their necks, comprising of cyanide, to be consumed if caught. With such suicidal attitude, and inbuilt desire to sacrifice their life in the name of their so called ‘fight’, imprisonment of one of their ‘men’ and his subsequent trial is just like a sole drop in the ocean. Terrorism has a vast impact and is now spread like a viscious vice enveloping the entire globe. Hanging Kasab, could prove India as a nation fighting terrorism, with its judicial powers, but will definitely not serve as a warning for the terrorists to think twice before attacking India. However, if the nation could allow the defence and special- forces to act on impulse with shoot at sight orders and if the politicians could be barred from infiltrating into the defence system, terrorists could possibly think twice before attacking India. The judicial system of India has given the image of our nation as a Soft Nation. And with such an image on the global arena, terrorists would might as well consider India as their terror paradise.
